Cakes were great , so moist! Whipped icing was great! Pink buttercream icing had a strange taste. A bit pricey but all and all really good.

I stop here once a week and grab treats for the guys at work. The service is quick and friendly and there are never any left in the box at work! Many compliments from the guys. I'll keep stopping.P.S. try their sweet roll...omg...they are fabulous!

I always thought that if you get to the bakery when they first open you would get the freshest donuts.....NOTI arrived this morning at 4:10 and began selecting donuts. As I made my choices, the employee walked down to the far left and grabbed the similar donuts that I selected from the other display. I ask if those were fresh and made "this morning" and she replied "yes".Once I paid, left and began driving home I had two of the donuts from the box. Both of the donuts were hard, crunchy and cold. I spent $16 for a dozen donuts that I was under the impression were the best......I won't go back.

We ordered their cupcakes for our wedding. They matched our colors with the icing and they were delicious! Plus, much cheaper that those "cupcake specialty" bakerys! I didn't have one but alot of our guests loved the strawberry flavor!

Their yeast are best in town and my wife loves the cinnamon rolls!

This little slice of Heaven has been a southside delight for decades. Go early for best selection and expect a line. Chill and salivate while waiting your turn, it is worth it. Call ahead for cakes, pies, danish, and donuts. I gain a pound just driving by! 😋

I really like their donuts, and when I bring donuts in for my co workers, it's from here. They open very early. The prices are good. The people are nice. One or two of my co workers whine sometimes and say they want Long's, and I tell them they can't have any of these. That shuts them up. They stare and drool until I say, " okay boy you can have one but only if you beg. " That's right. People beg for these donuts.

I made it over in time to get doughnuts. I think it was maybe around 10 am, and there were plain yeast and maybe 2 or three other varieties left. Last time they were all gone so I got danishes instead. They were excellent, as are the danishes. I also got snickerdoodles which were really good. The only negative is that I believe they make them early, and once they are gone, they are gone. They do not make any more. I will be back, I will just have to make sure I either get up earlier or order ahead. (To be fair, they did suggest that the first time, I just thought 10 would be early enough. That day it was right before closing so I wasn't entirely surprised that they were out)

I absolutely love this place ❤ friendly staff and lovely little establish thats been around for a while letting people have a bit of joy in their day to day lives. My grandma said they have been here at least 20 years. The only thing even remotely close to being negative about Boyden's is THEY DONT MAKE ENOUGH DONUTS!!! If you go in the morning around when they open you're good but if you go around noon or later you'll be lucky to find any donuts at all.Love this place and think everyone should give it a try 😊

I just found Boyden's last month and loved the product. Sadly, I drove from Bloomington to grab some going away gifts for a staff member and found that they closed an hour earlier than Google Maps said as well as the hours on the front door. The door was not locked and I entered not knowing they were closed. The young lady was less than happy to accommodate me. I offered cash, card or whatever it would take, but she would not work with me.Small businesses such as this (and mine) need to make that extra effort to adjust and keep the "down home" feeling. I will need time to decide if supporting this local business is in my best interest as they seem to be bringing us all down.Please remember where you came from

Best cake I ever had. Moist and just the right amount of icing. All the donuts I got were awesome also. Clean shop with excellent personnel.

This is my favorite donut shop in Indianapolis. The glazed cake and glazed yeast donuts are so good. They also have a good variety of flavors offered. The staff gets through a line quickly and they’re always friendly. I hope it never changes. Just a great hidden gem on the south side.

I absolutely love Boyden's! I prefer them over the franchised spots near them and Long's (Southside location only). Plus you can use debit cards.

Great cookies! Absolutely yummy and they had milk right in hand to eat with said cookies. My only tiff is the rude girl manning the counter! Very unhelpful. I asked if some of the fudge had peanuts and she acted like It was a big inconvenience to tell me no. So rude. Bought the cookies anyways they were good

ORDERED A 60th BIRTHDAY CAKE 🎂FOR MY WIFE. SPECIAL ORDER.....SPENT GOOD MONEY....WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE ALOT OF WILD FLOWERS ON IT....I SAID ALOT...SHE LOVES ICING. MAKE IT LOOK 3D WITH 💐FLOWERS BIG..THICK...CAKE TASTED GOOD,AS USUAL...BUT VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE ICING USAGE I ASKED FOR. WILL USE KIM'S KAKERY AND BAKERY FROM NOW ON. THEY KNOW HOW TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS.

Let's be honest there are lot of old school selection of bakery goods and items to purchase would love to see a few more updates on selection but I do understand So let's get to it this bakery built it's name and reputation on the fine products you can purchase I took a shot on the chocolate chip cookies and just the smell and the taste of the rich butter flavor built in it has been the best chocolate chip cookie I have tasted in over 40 years of my memory so far So get up and get out head over to Boydens definitely one of Southsides greatest little secrets

This is a hidden jewel, price is great, a wide variety of mouthwatering items to choose from, and very friendly staff. This has become a favorite place.
